Round-the-clock readiness — every day, every night, every holiday.
Volunteer-powered. Community-funded. Always here for you.
New Hope Volunteer Fire Department isn't just a first responder unit — it's a network of neighbors, friends, and families who chose to stand ready for each other.
For more than five decades, the New Hope Volunteer Fire Department has been the backbone of emergency response in our corner of Arkansas. What started as a small group of concerned residents has grown into a well-equipped, professionally trained team of over 40 volunteers.
We respond to structure fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, natural disaster relief, and hazardous material incidents across New Hope and the surrounding rural communities. Every call is answered the same way — with urgency, professionalism, and the deep commitment that comes from protecting your own.
From structure fires to community education, our volunteer team delivers a full spectrum of emergency and preventive services.
Full structural fire suppression for residential, commercial, and agricultural buildings. Our trained crews respond with modern apparatus and coordinated tactics.
Rapid response to motor vehicle collisions on Highway 70 and surrounding roads, including technical extrication and first aid stabilization.
First response medical care for cardiac events, injuries, and acute health emergencies while awaiting EMS transport to the nearest facility.
Proactive fire safety inspections for homes and businesses, code enforcement guidance, and hazard assessments to prevent emergencies before they start.
Free fire safety workshops, school visits, smoke detector installations, and disaster preparedness training for schools, churches, and civic groups.
Specialized response to wildland fires, brush fires, and rural structure protection in the outlying areas around New Hope and Newton County.
We don't get paid to answer the call. We answer because the person on the other end is our neighbor, our friend, or our family member. That personal stake is what makes volunteer fire service different — and irreplaceable.
Our department is sustained by the generosity of the communities we serve. Through donations, grants, and fundraising events, we maintain the equipment, training, and readiness that keeps New Hope safe — at no cost to taxpayers for emergency response.
